Head of Cross Functional Services.
The Opportunity
Head of Cross Functional Services for Equities and Cross Asset Financing TechnologyThe vision of Equities and Cross Asset Financing is to build strategic replacement of third part vendor platforms with scalable, cost-efficient, and resilient in-house solutions.The role holder is responsible for leading the Cross functional areas including Transformation, Program Governance Production services, Risk and control etc. that cut across the various sub value streams within Equities and Cross Asset Financing Value Stream.The role will also be responsible for regional leadership of the Equities and Cross Asset Financing Technology team in India.
In This Role, You Will
Production Practice and Governance:
- Lead the Production Practice team that is responsible for governance, standardization , transformation, and leadership on how the DevOps teams manage their production environments.
- Ensure strong governance over production standards and operational practices across all ESF Technology value streams
- Provide the global teams with the tools, metrics, and processes they need to manage their incidents and problems in a consistent manner
- Foster a culture of ownership, accountability, and continuous improvement in service management practices within engineering teams
Risk & Control
- Lead a team that is responsible for ensuring the right tech risk governance is in place to provide a structured approach for tracking and reporting the status of uplifts and BAU control compliance.
- Support the E&XAF technology teams with challenges around the tech control uplifts
- Act as a central voice for E&XAF Technology for feeding back application team's concerns on complying with the different controls.
- Ensure effectiveness of E&XAF Tech RCO and the EXF Tech Control SME networks
- Interface between E&XAF Tech and Audit, Cyber, CIB Tech R&C.
Strategy & Transformation
- Partner with E&XAF sub value stream global heads to deliver change management initiatives and accelerate transformation across multiple areas including people, process and practices.
- Ensure alignment of E&XAF strategy with GCIO and CIB priorities
Additional Responsibilities
- Entity managing the E&XAF staff in India including hiring, mentoring and coaching
- Lead the cultural and organizational shift by advocating agile delivery, test automation, and DevOps and cloud-native practices.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including the management of operational risk and adherence to the Group's standards of ethical behavior

Leadership & Teamwork
The role is accountable for Transformation and Governance, Production practices and Risk & Control across a large Technology estate which is a mix of legacy systems in addition to new strategic build-out. The globally distributed team comprising of engineers and tech SMEs working with the sub value stream technology
To be successful in this role, you should meet the following requirements:
Essential Experience
- Experience in managing production environments, service delivery, application stability etc.
- Experience in translating metrics into insights and actions
- Deep understanding of Technology Controls, Risk and Control Frameworks
- Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager, with experience engaging senior business sponsors, in-house partners, and infrastructure functions
- Ability to manage multiple streams of work at once covering different topics and stakeholders.
- Ability to develop management and leadership capability.
- Effectively lead/navigate a matrix organization across diverse stakeholders and geographies.
