You will be responsible for preparation of detail design, standard technical specifications, request for quotation (RFQ) documents, erection & maintenance manual for Medium Gas Turbine Mechanical systems like Fire Fighting & suppression system, Gas detection system, Acoustic Package, Air Intake system, Enclosures, Ventilation system for the selected Gas Turbine package. The job includes working on fault reports related to the component or package and improvement of standards. The position will be based in Gurgaon, India, in the global challenging technical environment in the Global Customer Operations, Mechanical Systems department. One has to closely coordinate with the Mechanical Systems department in Finspang, Sweden. Majority of the tasks will be in Research & Development but may extend to Customer Projects and site support. oriented: Member of Fire and Gas Package Coordination team. Responsible for arranging regular meetings within all internal interface partners, Customer Order engineering and Suppliers. Participating in reviews and gates. Responsible for Design and preparation of PIDs, various lists like part list, electrical load list, settings list, fault procedure list, spare parts list, RFQ documents of Fire extinguishing system CO2 & H2O and Gas detection system. Understanding of Fire Fighting & Suppression system (detection, extinguishing) Responsible for design and preparation of specifications for Air Intake system, Silencer, Enclosure, Anti Icing system, Exhaust system, ventilation Involved in most of the Fault reports in the technical area assigned. Decide the system strategy. Take an active part in creating and sustaining the road map for the system. Be active in benchmarking knowledge internal / external Siemens. Shall aim to be the one with best knowledge for the systems function and detailed design Checking the vendor bids and providing Clarifications, technical vender negotiations. Vendor evaluation including risk assessment and support the commercial selection. Checking of vendor design and documentation. Supporting the detailed design by vendors. Support purchasing to find best total cost solutions. Generating and finalizing cost savings ideas. Document and drive implementation in PLM2020, SAP. Release and maintain reference documentation in COMOS, PLM2020, Team Centre or related databases Provide field/site support if required, Support during warranty/Service Support after warranty. We dont need superheroes, just super minds: Bachelor / masters in mechanical engineering. 3 to 10 years of relevant engineering work experience Knowledge of relevant international codes & Standards including NFPA, IEC, API, ISO, Hazardous area requirements, etc. Knowledge of performing risk analysis and hazop studies. Ability to travel globally High flexibility in taking new tasks/responsibilities Excellent communication skills, excellent English language skills, Knowledge of mechanical design of Gas Turbine enclosures Strong understanding of engineering fundamentals. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Creativity and innovation in developing new ideas and solutions. Ability to work effectively in a team environment. Attention to detail and precision in documenting results. Ability to prepare and present the proposed solutions and business cases for product improvement and development. Trouble shooting of process problems To identify and analyse the gaps & to take corrective actions to meet Budget norms Safe operation of the plant Creation of robust safety systems for all operation and ensuring that non-conformances are analyzed & corrective actions are implemented Ensure PPE's are available and used in accordance with best safety practices To prevent accidents and near misses. They are analyzed to arrive at the root cause & actions are implemented to prevent recurrences. Conduct process FMEA to reduce breakdown and severity of process. Coordinate EHS meeting to identify and resolve safety related issue. Improve the I/O norm of RM & utilities as to reduce cost& increase the profit margin and market share To identify and analyze the gaps & to take corrective actions to meet Budget norms. Improve I/O norms through Problem Solving Process (PSP) Ensuring EHS compliance in process operation Identification of hazards, unsafe acts and unsafe conditions, implementation of corrections & protection measures. Standardize practices through SOPs and Work instructions. Reduce customer complaints Address customer complaints by deep analysis and take corrective & preventive action Implementation of 5S, TQM and IMS Preparation of Plant operating manual, SOPs, WI, Checklist, & formats for the plant Implement 5S & Kaizen system in the plant Preferred candidate profile Ideal Candidate must be a B.E./B.Tech in Chemical Engineering with 11-14 years of experience in Polymer Manufacturing plant with main exposure to Polymerization.
