Hardware Lead Engineer

As a Hardware Lead Engineer at our company, you will be responsible for designing and developing Automotive Inverters. Your role will involve working closely with other engineering teams to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Inverter Hardware Architecture & Requirements Engineering: - Develop and define hardware architectures for automotive inverters. - Interpret and derive hardware requirements from system specifications. - EMI/EMC Compliance & Filtering: - Ensure compliance with CISPR 25 standards for electromagnetic compatibility. - Perform filter sizing and design for EMI reduction in circuits. - Active Component Selection & High-Frequency Design: - Select MOSFETs, diodes, and other active components, including SiC/GaN technologies. - Design high-frequency inverter hardware for automotive applications. - Microcontroller & Embedded Systems: - Work with microcontrollers dedicated to inverter applications from various manufacturers. - Ensure seamless integration of hardware and software in inverter control. - PCB Layout & Safety Compliance: - Design schematics and PCB layouts for systems, ensuring compliance with IEC 60664 standards. - Optimize board layouts for electrical, thermal, and mechanical performance. - Cross-functional Collaboration & Integration: - Collaborate with software, mechanical, and system engineers to optimize hardware design. - Support thermal management, insulation coordination, and system-level requirement derivation. Qualifications required for this role include a Bachelors or Masters degree in Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, or a related field. You should also have proven experience in inverter hardware development, knowledge of EMI/EMC standards, expertise in SiC/GaN power semiconductors, experience with automotive microcontrollers, and knowledge of PCB layout for systems with IEC 60664 compliance.
