Hardware Development Lead - Senior PCB Layout Engineer

As a highly experienced Layout Designer with over 12 years of experience in High-Speed Digital Design, Analog, and RF boards, your role at AMD will involve collaborating in the development of new or modified high-density printed circuit boards. You will work closely with Design Engineers and Simulation Engineers to ensure that PCB layouts adhere to SI/PI requirements. Your responsibilities will include designing layouts for high-speed interfaces such as PCIe Gen5/6, Multi-Gigabit serial buses, DDR5/LPDDR5/DIMM, and other circuits. Additionally, you will be involved in the characterization/evaluation and production boards, creating or modifying footprints as per guidelines, and maintaining the library database. It will be essential for you to work with Fabrication and Assembly houses for DFX queries, follow processes, guidelines, and checklists to ensure error-free designs, and meet project schedules. Key Responsibilities: - Collaborate in developing new or modified high-density printed circuit boards - Ensure PCB layout adheres to SI/PI requirements - Design layouts for high-speed interfaces like PCIe Gen5/6, Multi-Gigabit serial buses, DDR5/LPDDR5/DIMM, and other circuits - Characterization/evaluation and production boards - Create or modify footprints as per guidelines and maintain library database - Work with Fabrication and Assembly house for DFX queries - Follow processes, guidelines, and checklists to produce error-free designs - Meet project schedules Qualifications: - 12+ years of layout design experience in High-Speed Digital Design, Analog, and RF boards - Routing experience with interfaces like PCIe Gen5/6, Multi-Gigabit serial buses, DDR5/LPDDR5/DIMM, Flash, SPI, I2C, and High current switching power supplies - Proficiency in Cadence Allegro PCB design and constraint manager - Knowledge of IPC standards, HDI, back drilling, stack up selection - Experience in design with DFM/DFT/DFA constraints - Familiarity with CAM350 gerber review tool and footprint creation - Understanding of mechanical 3D model design practice - Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks - Strong interpersonal and communication skills for cross-functional collaboration Please note that the benefits offered are described in the AMD benefits at a glance.,
