Hardware & Deployment Engineer

As a hands-on engineer at PlantMetrics, your primary role will be to lead field installations by installing IoT sensors and configuring edge gateways on industrial machines. You will have the opportunity to lead hardware deployments for 400-600 machines per year, working on shop floors to ensure sensors are installed correctly and gateways are configured for optimal performance to achieve 99%+ uptime. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct site surveys and installation planning - Install IoT sensors (CT, vibration, temperature) on industrial machines and PLCs - Configure edge gateways and validate data quality - Troubleshoot hardware issues with a less than 4-hour SLA - Build installation playbooks for scalability Qualifications Required: - 5-8 years of experience in industrial IoT and automation engineering - Proficient with sensors such as CT, vibration, RTD, and industrial protocols like Modbus and OPC UA - Ability to read electrical schematics and wire on-site - Comfortable working in factory environments - Willingness to travel as needed If you are looking for a challenging role where you can apply your expertise in industrial IoT and automation engineering, PlantMetrics offers the opportunity to lead hardware deployments and installations in a fast-paced environment.
