Understand the output requirement, customer expectation and market acceptability of the mechanical equipment. Develop a concept and subsequent design for this mechanical equipment. Ideate, problem solve and provide inputs and workable ideas to improve the existing concept and subsequent designs. Explain the design to the vendors to develop the prototype. Ensure the prototypes are developed within the designated time. Ensure the prototype is developed as per the design, quality and functionality specifications. Problem solve from your experience and expertise the reasons for non-performance of the prototype. Find out solutions which help reconfigure the machine resulting in achievement of desired results. Appropriately document every phase of the research and development process. Maintain utmost level of confidentiality related to all the Research and Development taking place.
