As a Senior Software Engineer at ValueMomentum, you will be responsible for contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, designing, developing, modifying, implementing, and supporting software components across the software stack. You will also be involved in determining root causes for complex software issues and developing practical solutions. Here is a breakdown of your key responsibilities: - Serve as a Software Engineer guiding development teams, both internal and external - Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components - Identify root causes for complex software issues and provide technical solutions - Stay updated on new technologies and make recommendations - Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling - Identify process improvements and best practices - Work closely with cross-functional teams and management - Write, modify, and debug software for client applications - Stay current with development practices Qualifications required for this role include: - 3-7 years of IT experience with at least 3 years of experience in Guidewire Rating development - Experience in configuring Guidewire Products like PolicyCenter/Rating - Proficiency in Gosu Queries, PCF, RuleSets, and Validations - Knowledge of the insurance domain, particularly commercial and personal lines of business - Experience in Agile/Scrum Project environments - Strong conceptual, analytical, and mathematical skills Additionally, candidates with the following skills will have an advantage: - Guidewire certification on the Integration track - Awareness of Cloud Implementation - Experience working in Agile methodologies About ValueMomentum: ValueMomentum is a leading solutions provider for the global property & casualty insurance industry.
