As a Senior Software Engineer specializing in Guidewire PolicyCenter, your role at ValueMomentums Engineering Center involves contributing to and directing the efforts of development teams, including internal and external team members. You will design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components at any level of the software stack. Identifying root causes for complex software issues and developing practical solutions, staying updated on new technologies, and making recommendations are also part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will assist in task planning, estimation, scheduling, determine process improvements, and work closely with cross-functional teams and management. Your ability to write, modify, and debug software for client applications, remain calm during crises, and stay abreast of leading-edge development practices will be crucial in this role. **Key Responsibilities:** - Serve as a Software Engineer contributing to and directing development team efforts - Design, develop, modify, implement, and support software components across the software stack - Determine root causes for complex software issues and develop technical solutions - Stay current on new technologies and make recommendations as needed - Assist in task planning, estimation, and scheduling - Determine process improvements, best practices, and develop new processes - Work closely with cross-functional teams and management - Write, modify, and debug software for client applications - Remain effective in crisis situations - Stay updated on leading development practices **Qualifications Required:** - 3-7 years of IT experience with a minimum of 3 years in Guidewire Rating development - Experience in Configuration on any Guidewire Products such as PolicyCenter/Rating - Proficiency in Gosu Queries, working on PCF, RuleSets, Validations - Experience in the Insurance domain for commercial and personal lines of business - Agile/Scrum Project Experience - Good conceptual, analytical, and mathematical skills ValueMomentum is a leading solutions provider specializing in the global property & casualty insurance industry, offering comprehensive services across the P&C insurance value chain.
