About the Role We are seeking a skilled Shopify Developer with strong expertise in Liquid, Shopify’s templating language , to design, develop, and optimize high-performing e-commerce websites. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience customizing Shopify themes, integrating third-party apps, building pixel-perfect responsive layouts, and ensuring seamless functionality that drives conversions. Key Responsibilities Theme Development & Customization Build, customize, and maintain Shopify themes using Liquid, HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript . Create new page templates, sections, and snippets in Liquid for flexible site design. Ensure mobile responsiveness, speed optimization, and cross-browser compatibility. E-commerce Functionality & Integrations Set up Shopify stores end-to-end: products, collections, navigation, checkout, and payment gateways. Integrate and customize third-party Shopify apps (loyalty programs, reviews, shipping, analytics). Work with Shopify APIs and webhooks to connect external systems (ERP, CRM, or custom apps). UI/UX & Conversion Optimization Collaborate with designers to implement pixel-perfect user interfaces. Optimize store layout, product pages, and checkout flow for higher conversion rates. Conduct A/B testing for features like upsells, bundles, and personalized recommendations. Maintenance & Performance Monitoring Troubleshoot issues related to Liquid templates, scripts, or app conflicts. Monitor site performance (speed, SEO best practices, schema markup). Regularly update themes and ensure compatibility with Shopify platform changes. Requirements Technical Skills Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid templating language. Expertise in HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript (ES6+), jQuery . Familiarity with Shopify APIs, AJAX API, GraphQL, and REST APIs . Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative workflows. Strong understanding of Shopify Plus features (preferred but not mandatory). Knowledge of SEO fundamentals , structured data, and site performance optimization. Professional Skills Proven experience (2–4+ years) developing custom Shopify stores. Ability to translate Figma/Adobe XD/Sketch designs into Shopify themes. Strong problem-solving skills and debugging expertise. Excellent communication skills for cross-functional collaboration. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications Prior experience working with D2C brands or high-traffic e-commerce sites . Familiarity with headless Shopify setups (React, Next.js, Hydrogen). Basic knowledge of backend languages (Node.js, PHP) is a plus. Experience implementing analytics (GA4, Facebook Pixel, GTM).
