Role: Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Developer Location: Mumbai/Bangalore/Hyderabad/Kolkata Experience: 6 - 14 years Job Summary: The Guidewire PolicyCenter Configuration Developer designs, develops, and implements configuration solutions for the Guidewire PolicyCenter application. This role involves working closely with business analysts and stakeholders to customize workflows, screens, and business rules, ensuring the effective operation of policy administration processes. Key Responsibilities: Configuration and Customization: Configure Guidewire PolicyCenter to meet business and technical requirements. Customize workflows, user interfaces, and business rules within the PolicyCenter module. Solution Development: Develop configuration solutions using Guidewire Studio and GOSU programming language. Implement data model changes, screen layouts, and integration points as needed. Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, project managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver solutions. Participate in requirement review sessions and provide technical insights. Testing and Quality Assurance: Develop unit tests and participate in system testing to ensure quality and performance. Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to PolicyCenter configuration. Documentation: Prepare technical documentation of configurations, workflows, and customizations. Maintain documentation for future reference and knowledge sharing. Support and Maintenance: Provide ongoing support and maintenance for configured solutions. Stay updated with new Guidewire releases and implement upgrades as necessary. Qualifications: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. Proven experience in configuring and developing solutions within Guidewire PolicyCenter. Proficient in GOSU programming and Guidewire Studio. Strong understanding of insurance business processes and PolicyCenter functionality. Experience with software development life cycle (SDLC) and Agile methodologies. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with other Guidewire modules such as ClaimCenter or BillingCenter. Experience with integration technologies like Web Services and APIs. Knowledge of XML, JSON, and other data interchange formats. Understanding of insurance industry standards and practices.
