As a Senior Software Engineer at CGI, you will be responsible for the design, development, testing, and deployment of Guidewire-based solutions. Your key responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, testing, and deploying Guidewire-based solutions, including customizations and new features. - Configuring product models, rating engines, and business rules using the Policy Configuration tool. - Developing and integrating the platform with other internal and external systems using tools like REST APIs. - Writing clean, high-quality code in GOSU and Java. - Troubleshooting and resolving issues related to policy center configuration, data migration, and integrations. - Participating in quality assurance activities and performing unit and integration testing. To be successful in this role, you must have the following qualifications: Must-Have Skills: - Proficiency in Gosu and Java is essential. - Experience using an integrated development environment (IDE) for customization, coding, and deployment. - Experience with Guidewire's cloud offerings. - Expertise in building integrations using SOAP and RESTful web services for system-to-system communication. - Strong skills in SQL and database management (like Oracle or SQL Server) for data handling. - Familiarity with tools like Git or SVN for code management. - Knowledge of build tools like Maven and deployment processes.
