Design and provision network security policies with required zero trust principles. . Design, Implement and maintain Network security technologies (Network / Service Segmentation) for on-premises, container and cloud environment. . Document High-level and Low-level network designs and procedures . Run product evaluation and proof of concepts on emerging network technologies. . Liaison with vendor on product issues including design, features, and defects. . Support packaging, testing and deployment of agents using enterprise deployment tools. . Troubleshoot complex network environments and providing detailed analysis and remediations. . Coordinates activities with other system areas and vendors, and deals with network security systems planning, upgrading, monitoring, testing, and servicing. . Work with Project Manager to understand the priority on different projects and complete tasks in timely manner. . Implement network solutions aligned to organizational standard and meet regulatory requirements. . Provides knowledge transfer with teammates through formal team training sessions, brown bags, and mentoring of other team members. . Apply technical expertise in implementing efficiencies and creating strategies to better detect and respond to cyber incidents by prioritizing mitigation actions Requirements . Excellent understanding of IT Infrastructure, knowledge and hands-on technical experience, including: . Min 7-9 years of experience in design and implementation of Network segmentation strategies for on-premises, cloud and/or container environment using leading firewall technologies such as checkpoint, ASA or Host-based firewalls (Illumio & Guardicore) in large and complex environment. . Strong exposure to security frameworks, and technologies such as IDS/IPS, web application security, vulnerability scanners, network security, cybersecurity, and anti-malware systems. . Should have experience with Linux platform administration and Python. . Experience with modern agile software delivery practices such as scrum, version control, continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD), DevOps . Excellent network troubleshooting skills. Must be able to quickly identify and resolve network related issues in smallest possible time. . Ability to work in fast paced environment with and changing priorities . As a Principal Network Engineer - Cloud Networking at S&P Global Corporate, you will be a key player in the Data Center and Cloud Network Engineering team. Your primary responsibility will be to design and implement networking solutions in data center and cloud environments. This role requires a seasoned engineer who can work effectively both independently and collaboratively in a team environment. You will play a critical role in shaping the foundation of our cloud infrastructure strategy, directly influencing the scalability, security, and performance of our global network across multiple cloud providers. By enabling resilient hybrid connectivity, implementing zero-trust network architectures, and driving automation, you will help accelerate our digital transformation, reduce operational risks, and ensure seamless connectivity for our mission-critical applications. Your responsibilities will include designing, engineering, and implementing network solutions in a multi-cloud environment based on requirements from business stakeholders. You will also be involved in the design, deployment, and management of GCP network services such as VPCs, Cloud load balancing, Cloud Interconnect, Cloud DNS, and Cloud VPN. Additionally, you will design and implement network segmentation strategies across data centers, cloud environments (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP), and hybrid infrastructure. As part of your role, you will manage strategic projects to implement and optimize low latency, high-performance network solutions at and between various datacenter locations. You will be responsible for responding to network requests, troubleshooting network failures to diagnose, isolate, and resolve complex problems, ensuring timely results and minimal disruption of operations. Hands-on experience with cloud network technologies (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud Platform) and with Cisco, Arista, Fortinet, F5 load balancers, and similar network equipment is essential. Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills are necessary to diagnose and resolve network issues effectively. Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, strong written and verbal communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities, commitments, and projects are also important qualities for this role. What you’ll do: We are looking for an experienced Guardicore Segmentation Run and Maintain SME to manage the day-to-day operations, monitoring, troubleshooting, and optimization of our microsegmentation platform. This role is critical in ensuring that segmentation policies are operating effectively, systems are compliant, and issues are quickly identified and resolved with minimal business disruption. Key Responsibilities: Monitor and maintain the Guardicore Segmentation platform across on-prem and cloud environments. Act as the primary point of contact for operational issues, policy updates, and platform health. Perform regular health checks , ensure system stability, and escalate vendor-related issues when necessary. Analyze logs and alerts to detect anomalies, policy violations, or performance issues. Collaborate with infrastructure, application, and security teams to validate changes , update policy sets, and remediate policy conflicts. Ensure documentation is up-to-date, including operational procedures, escalation protocols, and known issue repositories. Support audits and compliance requests by providing relevant segmentation evidence and reports. Maintain operational SLAs , including incident response, change management, and patch management for Guardicore components. Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement , automation, and system optimization. What you need to bring: Required Qualifications: 5+ years of experience in security operations , network administration , or IT infrastructure support . Hands-on experience managing and maintaining Guardicore Centra (Akamai Guardicore Segmentation Platform). Solid understanding of network flows , segmentation rules, and firewall policy operations. Familiarity with change management processes , incident handling , and ticketing systems (e.g., ServiceNow, Jira). Strong troubleshooting and problem-resolution skills for security tools and network-related issues. Basic scripting ability (e.g., Python, Bash, PowerShell) for routine maintenance or data extraction. Preferred Skills: Experience supporting hybrid environments (on-prem + AWS/Azure/GCP). Knowledge of SIEM integration and log analysis (e.g., Splunk, QRadar). Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., NIST, PCI, ISO 27001). Guardicore/Akamai certifications or related security certifications (Security+, Network+, or equivalent).
