Key Responsibilities: Manage, monitor, and maintain MySQL databases in a high-availability environment. Design and implement MySQL replication (master-slave, master-master, GTID-based replication). Perform database backups, restores, and disaster recovery planning. Optimize database performance and query efficiency. Troubleshoot database-related issues and implement corrective actions. Collaborate with DevOps and development teams to support application deployment and scalability. Ensure data security, integrity, and compliance. Maintain documentation for database systems and procedures. Required Qualifications: 1+ years of experience as a MySQL DBA in a production environment. Proficiency with MySQL (including configuration, tuning, replication, and upgrades). Experience with Percona Server for MySQL. Strong knowledge of Ubuntu/Linux server administration. Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Percona Monitoring and Management, Nagios, Zabbix). Strong scripting skills (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks. Solid understanding of database security and user management. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, GCP, Azure). Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes). Knowledge of other database systems (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB) is a plus.
