As a UI/UX Designer with up to 3 years of experience, you will play a vital role in shaping the financial experiences of our users at a fintech startup in Chennai. Your primary focus will be on creating intuitive and engaging designs that elevate our products and leave a lasting impact on our users. Your responsibilities will include conducting user research to gain insights into our target audience, translating these insights into actionable design decisions. You will create wireframes and prototypes to visualize design concepts, ensuring usability and engagement. Your designs will not only be visually compelling but also functional, enhancing user interaction and satisfaction. Conducting usability tests to validate designs and incorporating feedback for continuous improvement will be a crucial part of your role. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with product managers and developers to align designs with business goals and technical feasibility. Developing and maintaining design systems for consistency across all product touchpoints will be essential. Ensuring that designs meet accessibility standards to cater to a diverse user base will be a priority. Your design choices will be driven by a growth-focused approach, aiming to drive user acquisition, engagement, and retention while supporting key business metrics. You will use user feedback and analytics to measure design effectiveness and iterate for optimization. Advocating for user-centric design principles will be at the core of your work, ensuring that our platform delivers meaningful user experiences. In addition to your technical skills in product design and UI/UX design, proficiency in design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, Sketch, Photoshop, and Illustrator will be required. Your strong portfolio of successful projects will demonstrate your expertise in designing consumer-facing digital products with intuitive and visually appealing interfaces. Your analytical mindset will help you interpret user feedback and data for informed design decisions. Soft skills such as strong communication and collaboration, ownership, accountability, and an action-oriented approach will be crucial for success in this role. A passion for creating exceptional user experiences and familiarity with diverse international markets and user bases will be beneficial. Experience in fintech or other regulated industries, expertise in motion design, accessibility, and maintaining design systems will be considered a bonus.
