We’re planning to build a custom Shopify public app with a unique feature set. We have wireframes and a broad idea of functionality, but we want an experienced Shopify app developer/architect to help us bridge the gap between concept and development-ready scope. We’re looking for someone who can: - Review our initial wireframes & ideas. - Highlight technical nuances, constraints, and risks we may not be aware of. - Define Shopify API scopes, auth methods, and data flows etc, - Plan for webhooks, billing, analytics, security, and compliance etc - Advise on tech stack & architecture for scalability. - Identify unknowns we need to test/prototype before committing. Responsibilities: - Understand our vision and intended user flow. - Help us create a clear, concise functional & technical scope document. - Outline API/data flow diagrams and Shopify integration points. - Recommend best practices for: - Authentication (online/offline tokens, HMAC verification) - Billing (Subscription API, trials, usage charges) - Webhooks (retries, idempotency, GDPR) - Observability (error tracking, logs, analytics) - Merchant UX (embedded app, Polaris, empty/error states) - Or any other aspects that are must-haves but we are unaware of - Provide Shopify review readiness checklist. - Implement merchant billing via Shopify Billing APIs (recurring & usage billing), and document how billing works for merchants.
