Group Manager Pre dev. CV Technology

As a Group Manager Pre dev. CV Technology at Apollo Tyres Ltd, your primary responsibility will be to research and develop implementable concepts as per the Technology Roadmap for upcoming business specific to Commercial Vehicle (CV). Based in Chennai R&D, you will report to Jeyakumar Krishnakumar. Your main responsibilities will include driving Technology roadmap projects for the CV category, preparing Project input requirements, benchmarking product performance, studying patent landscapes, researching and developing concepts in Cavity, Pattern, Material, and construction for technology development, preparing Design FMEA, defining design of experiments for simulation, preparing physical prototypes, defining design validation plans, and ordering equipment & tooling. Additionally, you will review and discuss test results for concept evaluation and continual improvement, as well as handle technology handover and document lessons learned with the project team. In this role, you will also participate in Cross Functional Activities by joining the CFT for New Product development and Technology development and coordinating with Product development, Materials, Design & Mould Engineering, Simulation, Indoor & Outdoor testing team, and educational institutes. To excel in this position, you should possess skills in Benchmarking, APQP, Project management, Problem solving / Innovation, Testing standards, and Product manufacturing process. Knowledge in Tyre Mechanics, Truck Bus Radial (TBR) Tyre design / Materials & Construction, Technology development, Tyre Engineering / Design calculation, Patent landscaping, and TBR Process will be beneficial. The ideal candidate will have more than 10 years of exposure in Tyre Technology development, DFMEA, QFD, DMAIC, DOE, TRIZ, Value Engineering, and Patent search / Analysis. An educational background with a Bachelors / Masters in Mechanical / Automobile is required for this role.,
