Role Description This is a full-time, on-site HR Specialist – Payroll & HR Operations role based in Hyderabad. You will be responsible for day-to-day HR operations with a strong focus on salary / payroll checking and HR software . You will manage employee data, attendance, salary inputs, and coordinate with finance to ensure accurate and timely salary processing. You will also support HR policies, employee records, and basic HR administration to help build a structured HR function for the company. Key Responsibilities Payroll & Salary Processing Collect and verify monthly attendance, leave, overtime, and other inputs from different teams. Prepare salary inputs and coordinate with finance/accounts for monthly payroll processing. Check salaries for accuracy (CTC breakup, deductions, reimbursements, overtime, incentives, etc.). Handle queries related to salary slips, deductions, arrears, and corrections. HR Software & Systems Implement and manage an HRMS / payroll software (attendance, leave, salary, employee records). Maintain accurate employee databases in HR software and Excel. Generate HR reports (headcount, attrition, attendance, overtime, etc.) as needed by management. Compliance & Statutory Support Support statutory compliances related to employees such as PF, ESI, professional tax, gratuity, etc. (in coordination with accounts or external consultants). Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and statutory purposes. HR Operations & Administration Maintain employee files, appointment letters, confirmations, and exit documents. Support onboarding and basic induction for new employees in the Hyderabad office. Assist in drafting and implementing HR policies and procedures. Help maintain a positive, professional work environment and act as a point of contact for routine HR queries. Recruitment Support (as needed) Coordinate posting of job openings, screening basic profiles, and scheduling interviews. Maintain recruitment trackers and candidate records. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. 2–5 years of hands-on experience in HR operations, with clear exposure to payroll / salary processing . Practical experience using HRMS or payroll software (any platform; e.g., Keka, GreytHR, Zoho People, etc.) and strong MS Excel skills. Good understanding of basic HR processes: attendance, leaves, employee records, salary structure, and statutory deductions. Knowledge of Indian labor laws and statutory compliances (PF, ESI, PT, etc.) is a strong advantage. Language: Fluency in Hindi and English (spoken and written) is mandatory . Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and ability to handle confidential information. Ability to work independently in a growing organization and coordinate with management and site teams. Nice-to-Have Experience working in a small or mid-sized company where the HR person handled end-to-end operations. Prior experience in engineering, construction, mining, or project-based industries. Comfort interacting with workers, staff, and management across different locations (by phone/online).
