You will be responsible for various tasks including inventory management, stock replenishment, cash handling, and maintaining product knowledge. Your duties will involve preparing Goods Receipt Notes (GRN), handling inward and outward entries, and updating stock levels. Your primary responsibilities will include ensuring the proper receipt and storage of incoming materials, as well as issuing materials as needed. You will be required to update stock records in the system and maintain all relevant inventory documentation. Additionally, you will be responsible for checking for any damage or shortages, preparing reports, and coordinating with the Purchase department to meet production requirements. It will be essential for you to maintain buffer stock levels for both manufacturing and spare parts. You will need to be familiar with job work procedures and oversee the transfer of specific materials to external vendors for processing. Regular feedback on incoming materials from the Purchase department will help you plan storage activities effectively. Optimizing labor utilization based on forecasted material arrivals will be part of your responsibilities. You will work closely with Quality and Production departments to ensure smooth material handling and accurate stock entries. Conducting fortnightly and monthly physical stock verifications will also be a key task. A thorough understanding of job work activities, especially on returnable and non-returnable bases, will be necessary. Any instances of damaged or missing materials must be promptly escalated and reported to the Quality Assurance and Purchase departments. In addition, you should have knowledge of engineering items, their proper segregation, and systematic storage methods. Effective communication and coordination with various departments will be crucial to your success in this role.,
