You will be responsible for precision grinding operations on CNC machines to achieve precise dimensions and surface finishes. You will monitor grinding processes, inspect parts for quality, and make adjustments as necessary to ensure adherence to specifications and tolerances. Your responsibilities will include determining machining requirements, dimensional specifications, and set up requirements from programs, process sheets, and blueprints. You will be performing the set up and operation of CNC Universal Grinders, mounting and dressing the required Grinding Wheels, and dressing wheel and programming for profile grinding. Additionally, you will load CNC Programs into machine control, write and edit programs, select and prepare tooling, and grind tools to size as required. You will set the appropriate magnetic chuck or related jig to hold components securely for grinding operations. Ensuring efficient production of quality parts by completing in-process and final checks using gauges and measuring equipment will also be part of your responsibilities. Furthermore, you will check blueprints to verify machining dimensions and use the mounted grinding wheel to machine the final desired dimension. All machining tasks must be completed in accordance with specified run times. As part of the team, you will operate and maintain CNC grinding machines, perform quality control checks, and collaborate with production planning and quality assurance teams. Basic qualifications for this role will include the necessary education, years of experience, degree, knowledge/skills, certifications, etc. Preferred qualifications might also be considered.
