The Opportunity The FACTS technology uses a very high-end system for its control, protection and monitoring. This system is called as MACH. This computerized system is built with the state-of-the-art electronics, microprocessors and digital signal processors, connected by high performance industry standard busses and fiber optic communication links. They operate on very high standard application software developed by Hitachi Energy. As the system is being continuously evolved, the Station Operating and Monitoring System (SOM) is becoming more complex and customized. It requires a great deal of design, testing & verification of HMI, SCADA and network areas. How You’ll Make An Impact Design and verify the HMI application for various PQ Control and Protection System on Substation level. Develop the Substation HMI solution in MicroSCADA. Knowledge on IET600 tool, SCIL coding and IEC61850 protocols Design and verify SCADA/GWS application for various projects Support design of communication network by preparing related documents and with the implementation Knowledge on the quality process connected with the project execution, continuous improvement programs Exposure in commissioning support for HMI / SCADA site testing Take ownership for the project KPIs such as OTD, COPQ etc. Design and testing, Factory Verification Customer Factory Acceptance Test, Project Documentation, Customer meeting. Your Background Should be a BE / BTech (ECE, EEE, E&I) Should have 4+ years of operating experience in the industrial control system or SAS. The Opportunity Engineering authority in design studies and performance evaluation studies for projects/tenders for Flexible A.C. Transmission Systems (FACTS) technology aligned with Power Quality Solutions (PQS) Business. How You’ll Make An Impact Define topology and single line diagram for FACTS solution based on customer requirement. Specify main circuit components such as Power Transformer, Power Electronics Valves, Reactors, Capacitors, CT, VT, Breaker etc. based on customer specification and international standards. Co-ordinate with suppliers for optimal design of components mentioned in the point above and evaluate their design and test record documents. perform design studies such as harmonic performance, protection design, insulation coordinaiton including TOV/ TRV/ lighting studies, loss evaluation and Reliability study. Create and validate power system equivalents in RMS (PSSE/ DIgSILENT) and EMT (PSCAD/EMTP) software packages.
