The Opportunity As an member of Quality & HSE team, you will be part of Operation Center, India (INOPC-PG), aiming to develop a global value chain, where key business activities, resources and expertise are shared across geographic boundaries in order to optimize value for Hitachi Energy PowerGrid’s customers across markets. How You’ll Make An Impact Taking complete responsibility for the tenders prepared from IN Operation Center with appropriate input from the different stakeholders of the team in-line with LOM Tendering process seeking necessary inputs from the Operating Units tendering team. Understanding of Sales process, Sales tools & techniques, Market & Business Intelligence, Sales drive. Supporting sales strategy & facilitating capture team selling. Knowledge in assessing the pre-qualification requirements and supporting the Sales team for Bid/No Bid decision. Create and review Tender Solution Strategy. Target Pricing in discussion with Operating units. Complete Understanding of Single line diagrams & Equipment arrangement layouts. Reviewing the proposals towards optimized and customized solutions for various substation tenders (AIS, GIS, Hybrid). Innovative ideas to prepare a cost-effective solution. Technical data sheets verification of primary equipment. Knowledge of primary equipment, such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, etc with minimal support from Engineering team. Collaborate with SCM having good understanding about strategic sourcing and do Vendor Offer evaluations. Finalize the tender sourcing plan appropriately. Analyze the risk probability & severity of the tenders from technical, commercial, contractual perspectives & drive the mitigation strategy liasing with the different disciplines. Should be handling the risk review process and getting the approval from different management levels based on the tender volume & the risks involved. Review Cash flow documents and the inputs from Contracts & legal teams and take conclusive decisions during submissions Directly responsible for the complete documentation for respective tenders as per the client requirement Handing over the awarded projects to the respective project managers. You will be supporting the Project managers on project-specific engineering documents and drawings that are required to be modified after sales. How You’ll Make An Impact Responsible to lead of Field service engineers with following responsibilities. Ensure Engineers are working in safe environment. Job Summary: We are looking for Electrical Engineers with System Study experience to undertake engineering design roles for projects in the Transmission and Distribution sector primarily in the UK and Middle East. This is a great opportunity for a suitably qualified person with an engineering consultancy or energy sector background to gain further experience within an internationally renowned consultancy. Requirements: In depth knowledge of conducting simulations and analytical studies for transmission and Distribution, Planning, load and generation interconnection, integration of renewables. Able to prepare simulation study models and carry out power system studies including but not limited to: Grid compliance studies for Wind, Solar, BESS and Hybrid projects. Steady state and Dynamic power flow analysis. Fault Ride Through studies. Short circuit calculation. Power quality analysis. Electro Magnetic Transient Analysis (EMTP) such as Switching and Lightning transient studies, Energization studies etc. Dynamic simulation of networks involving HVDC, FACTS and inverter based generation. Candidate should be able to carry out following protection calculation. Overcurrent and earth fault protection co-ordination for the transmission and distribution network. Unit protection calculation for Transformer, motor, busbar, generator etc. Lead and carry out consulting, research and development study projects. Analyse study results and recommend solutions as per requirements and able to discuss / clarify Clients with help of results. Prepare study reports and other technical documentation. Respond to request for proposals (RFP) by preparing proposals & estimation of man-hours. Mentoring junior staffs and able to provide training on subject of expertise. Present study results to Clients and deliver training courses on subject of expertise. Responsibilities: Strong conceptualization ability, strong interpersonal communication and organizational skills are a must, including the capability to explain complex technical issues to decision-makers and project teams. Candidate must have good oral and written communication skills, be willing to travel, and work successfully in a customer focused, project-oriented environment. Mandatory Requirements: Masters / Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering with 10+ years of relevant industrial experience. Experience in system study softwares such as ETAP, DIgSILENT, PSCAD , etc. Desirable Requirements: Knowledge of PSSE, MATLAB / Simulink and any other system study software.
