Job Title: Barista / Beverage Creator Reporting To: Cafe Manager / Owner Job Summary: The Barista is responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of high-quality beverages, ensuring excellent customer service, and maintaining a clean and organized workstation. Key Responsibilities: Beverage Preparation: * Prepare and serve all menu items including milkshakes, smoothies, cold coffee, frappes, and other milk-based beverages according to established recipes and quality standards. * Operate and maintain beverage preparation equipment (blenders, coffee machines, ice crushers, etc.) safely and efficiently. * Ensure consistent taste, temperature, and presentation of all beverages. * Handle and prepare fresh ingredients (fruits, dairy, ice) for beverages. * Follow all health and safety guidelines for food and beverage preparation. Customer Service: * Greet customers warmly and take orders accurately and efficiently. * Provide menu recommendations and answer customer questions about ingredients and preparation. * Process payments using the POS system and handle cash and card transactions accurately. * Address customer concerns or complaints professionally and escalate to management when necessary. * Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor at all times. Workstation Maintenance & Cleaning: * Keep the beverage preparation area clean, tidy, and organized at all times. * Regularly clean and sanitize blenders, coffee machines, counters, and other equipment. * Monitor and replenish beverage ingredients, cups, lids, and other supplies as needed. * Assist with general cafe cleaning tasks (wiping tables, sweeping, mopping) during quieter periods or at closing. * Adhere to all hygiene and sanitation standards. Inventory & Stock: * Monitor stock levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting shortages to the manager. * Receive and properly store deliveries of ingredients and supplies. * Assist with inventory counts as required General Duties: * Adhere to all company policies and procedures. * Attend staff meetings and training sessions as required. * Collaborate effectively with other team members. * Contribute to a positive and productive work environment.
