As a Piping Design Engineer at our Mumbai, India office, you will be responsible for collaborating with customers to define work scope requirements. You will actively participate in project meetings and demonstrate your capability to lead and manage a team of engineers, specialists, and designers. Your experience in handling various stages of projects such as Bid, Concept, FEED, Detail Design, and Construction support will be invaluable. Monitoring work progress and workforce, scheduling activities, preparing progress reports, and providing catch-up plans will be crucial aspects of your role. You will be required to monitor project changes and assist the project team in raising Variations. Collaboration with different disciplines like Process, Instrumentation, Technical Safety, Electrical, and Mechanical-Rotating for interdisciplinary inputs is essential. Conducting 3D Model reviews with relevant disciplines and clients will also be part of your responsibilities. Additionally, you will support the Piping & Mechanical team in resolving technical issues and coordinating with clients for effective solutions. Familiarity with various drawings like Plot Plan, Hazardous Area Classification, Equipment Layout, Pipe Rack Layout, among others, will be required. Proficiency in Piping Stress Analysis, selection of Pipe Supports, and delivering in a piping 3D environment are preferred qualifications. To be successful in this role, you should hold a BE or higher degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering from an accredited university. Relevant years of experience in Piping design engineering in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and Thermal Generation projects are necessary. Detail Engineering experience in Ammonia projects is a must, while knowledge of Green and Blue Hydrogen projects is advantageous. Excellent communication, organization, and self-motivation skills are expected, along with proficiency in Microsoft Office and NavisWorks.
