As a Piping Design Engineer at our Mumbai, India office, you will be responsible for collaborating with customers to define work scope requirements. Your experience in handling various stages of projects such as Bid, Concept, FEED, Detail Design, and Construction support will be invaluable. Proficiency in Piping Stress Analysis, selection of Pipe Supports, and delivering in a piping 3D environment are preferred qualifications. To be successful in this role, you should hold a BE or higher degree in Mechanical/Chemical Engineering from an accredited university. Relevant years of experience in Piping design engineering in Oil and Gas, Petrochemical, and Thermal Generation projects are necessary. Detail Engineering experience in Ammonia projects is a must, while knowledge of Green and Blue Hydrogen projects is advantageous. As an experienced Designer with expertise in the Instrumentation and Control (I&C) discipline, you will be responsible for handling various design stages and deliverables related to I&C design projects. Your primary focus will be on utilizing your knowledge to create detailed designs using software such as SP3D for Cable trays, Conduits, Instrument Equipment, Junction Boxes, Remote IO Panels, Local Panels, Analyser shelters, Multi Cable transits (MCTs), and more. You will be expected to participate in model reviews, ensuring that all design activities are completed independently while adhering to relevant codes and standards. Proficiency in software tools like AutoCAD, MicroStation, SPR, NAVIS Works, and Microsoft Office will be essential for carrying out your responsibilities effectively. Your role will involve preparing and reviewing various Detailed Engineering Design Deliverables such as Instrument Hook-up, Loop Diagram, Tray and conduit layout, Trench layout, Location Plan, Conduit wiring drawings and conduit modelling, Junction box and Panel wiring Diagram, Functional Loop Schematics, Tray, Cable and Tubing Material BOM/BOQ, Cable Schedule, among others. You must demonstrate the ability to work autonomously and ensure that all I&C design deliverables meet the required quality standards. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards applicable to Oil & Gas / Chemical plants, instrument installation practices, construction sequences, wiring schemes for ESD/DCS and RTU/SCADA systems, as well as an understanding of Low Voltage Electrical Systems and Gas detection systems will be crucial for success in this role. Additionally, familiarity with cable separation requirements and experience in participating in international projects will be advantageous.
