Senior Electrical Design Engineer-MEP
Role & responsibilities 1.Design electrical systems including lighting, power distribution, fire alarm, data/telecom, CCTV, access control, and emergency systems. 2.Perform load calculations, short-circuit analysis, voltage drop calculations, and cable sizing. 3.Develop single-line diagrams (SLDs), schematic diagrams, and layouts using AutoCAD, Revit, or similar tools. 4.Ensure designs meet project requirements, client specifications, and applicable codes (e.g., NEC, IEC, DEWA, etc.). 5.Coordinate electrical design with HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection systems to avoid clashes. 6.Collaborate with architects, structural engineers, and other consultants to integrate electrical systems into the building design. 7.Ensure designs comply with local and international standards (NEC, IEC, IEEE, BS, ASHRAE, NFPA). Preferred candidate profile 1.Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, Dialux, ETAP, and other design software. 2.Strong understanding of electrical codes and standards. 3.Project coordination and communication skills. 4.Attention to detail and analytical problem-solving.
