You are part of a team of 10 experts in meteorology, agronomy, data science, and pedology. The Product & Innovation team at Weenat is looking to expand its workforce with a data scientist profile. If you are seeking an engaging role in a dynamic team and are willing to contribute your talents to a project that enhances the daily lives of farmers, hesitate no more, and join the team! As a Data Scientist Junior at Weenat, your role involves participating in the development of R&D projects and the continuous improvement of our data products. Being part of the Data Science group, your missions will include: - Enhancing the quality of our data, data products, and services. - Developing new algorithms for processing environmental data (meteorological, agronomic, etc.), building agronomically relevant parameters using machine learning methods, and evaluating model performance. - Assessing various data sources through comparison with reference products. - Contributing to project R&D progress reports. - Addressing statistical, figure, and mapping needs of other Weenat teams. - Conducting various agroclimatic studies for our partners. Desired Profile: - Bachelor's degree in Data Science (equivalent to Engineer/Master's). - At least 1 year of experience in data science (internship/apprenticeship included). - Skills in data analysis, spatial statistics, time series, mapping, machine learning methods, and model evaluation. - Proficiency in Python programming, mastery of data analysis, machine learning libraries, and the creation of maps and graphics. - Teamwork in a multidisciplinary environment, teaching abilities to guide students, good English comprehension. - Curiosity in meteorology, agronomy, and/or pedology is a plus.
