Your Role: We are currently seeking a highly experienced Senior Designer for Large Scale Mixed Use developments with a commercial/residential focus along with retail/hospitality components. As a Senior Designer at Gensler, you will collaborate with our design team to develop innovative design solutions and coordinate the design through the construction documentation phase of a project. You will be a recognized contributor to high-profile, design-driven projects and demonstrate innovative thinking. What You Will Do: - Ideate in collaboration with the Design Director and the team to create innovative designs for complex challenges - Participate in all project phases, from conceptual designs to construction documents and production - Collaborate with various stakeholders including clients, consultants, contractors, and regulatory agencies to meet project objectives - Produce graphic presentations, 3D renderings, and construction drawings - Utilize hand rendering techniques to communicate design concepts - Manage concurrent projects at various stages of development - Thrive in a fast-paced work environment and effectively communicate with the team - Provide mentorship and coaching to junior staff members - Participate in office culture and initiatives Your Qualifications: Required: - Bachelor's degree in Architecture or foreign equivalent - 10+ years of project experience, preferably in commercial-led and residential-led mixed-use developments - Registered Architect - Knowledge of materials, construction techniques, and building codes - LEED accreditation is a plus Your Design Technology Qualifications: Essential: - Proficiency in Autodesk Revit for design authoring, documentation, and project delivery - Expertise in Rhinoceros for design authoring - Understanding of interoperability workflows between Rhino & Revit - Familiarity with Computational Design applications like Grasshopper and/or Dynamo - Basic knowledge of real-time rendering processes and material creation within integrated BIM workflows Desirable: - Experience with strategic planning and setup of BIM projects - Collaboration within the BIM context including cloud-based markups and clash detection - Familiarity with Performance Design applications like Autodesk Insight and Sefaira - Proficiency in VR walkthroughs and panoramas for client presentations and design reviews Applications we work with: - Design Authoring: Revit, Rhino, Autocad, Navisworks - Collaboration: BIM360 - Computational Design: Grasshopper, Dynamo - Building Performance Simulation: Insight, Sefaira, Ladybug tools - Visualization: Vray, Enscape, Twinmotion, 3DSMax - Graphics & Productivity: Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office Suite - Experiential: Unreal Engine, Unity - Development: C#, Python To be considered, please submit your portfolio and/or work samples in PDF format.
