Role: Government & Institutional Sales Manager (Public Sector Partnerships) Summary: The Government & Institutional Sales Manager will be responsible for driving sales and partnership efforts with municipal corporations across India. This role will focus on introducing and onboarding the company's innovative pothole repairing vehicle, powered by GIPSAT asphalt technology. Success in this role means achieving widespread product adoption, securing contracts with multiple municipal corporations, and establishing the company as a trusted infrastructure solutions provider in the public sector. This role plays a critical part in the company’s growth strategy by unlocking large-scale public procurement opportunities and positioning the product as a nationwide solution to road maintenance challenges. Responsibilities: Identify and pursue partnership opportunities with municipal corporations and government bodies across India. Develop and execute a go-to-market strategy specifically for public sector clients, aligned with local and central government road infrastructure programs. Build and maintain relationships with key decision-makers, including commissioners, engineers, and procurement officers within municipal corporations. Lead tendering and proposal processes, including documentation, compliance, and bid submissions. Coordinate product demonstrations and technical presentations to government stakeholders. Monitor relevant government schemes and budgets related to urban development, smart cities, and road maintenance. Ensure post-sale support and contract fulfillment, coordinating with operations and service teams. Track and report on sales pipeline, conversion rates, and government engagement activities. Qualifications: Education: Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Business, Public Administration, Civil Engineering, or related fields. Experience: Minimum 5-7 years in government sales, public sector liaison, or infrastructure project sales. Skills: Strong knowledge of government procurement processes and public-private partnerships (PPPs). Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills. Ability to navigate bureaucratic environments and influence decision-makers. Fluent in English and Hindi (additional regional languages are a plus). Technical understanding of infrastructure or road construction equipment preferred. Certifications: PMP or certifications in public procurement/government contracting (optional but advantageous). What Success Looks Like: Multiple municipal corporations onboarded within the first year. Inclusion of your product in government tenders or preferred vendor lists. Long-term public sector contracts secured. Strong brand recognition within the urban development and public works departments.
