Role Objective:- To lead and manage the complete operations of Allianz Distillerys 150 KLD grain-based unit with accountability for production, people leadership, compliance, safety, cost efficiency, quality and day to day activities. The AVP Operations | Unit Head will be responsible for achieving operational excellence and driving profitability while fostering a culture of innovation and teamwork. This role will directly report to MD/CMD. Key Responsibilities:- 1. Operations & Production Management - Lead end-to-end plant operations including fermentation, distillation, DDGS, evaporation, utilities, and effluent treatment. - Ensure uninterrupted production as per daily, monthly, and annual targets. - Monitor yield, recovery, efficiency, and implement corrective measures for process improvement. - Coordinate with supply chain for timely availability of grains/Fuels, chemicals, and utilities. - Introduce automation and best practices to enhance plant efficiency. 2. People & Team Leadership - Provide leadership to multi-disciplinary teams across production, maintenance, quality, EHS, and administration. - Drive a high-performance culture with focus on discipline, motivation, and teamwork. 3. Compliance, Safety & Environment - Ensure adherence to all statutory regulations including Excise, UP Pollution Control Board, and Factory Act. - Maintain up-to-date licenses, permits, and documentation as per regulatory requirements. - Implement strict EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) standards to prevent accidents and hazards. - Liaise with government authorities during inspections, audits, and statutory reviews. 4. Cost & Resource Optimization - Monitor and control raw material usage, steam, water, and power consumption. - Drive initiatives for energy conservation, waste reduction, and process efficiency. - Implement cost-saving projects without compromising quality or compliance. - Work closely with finance and procurement for budget preparation and cost control. - Optimize manpower deployment through planning and productivity improvement. 5. Quality & Continuous Improvement - Ensure consistent product quality as per defined parameters and customer requirements. - Oversee laboratory testing, analysis, and corrective action programs. - Drive Lean, Kaizen, and Six Sigma initiatives for continuous improvement. - Benchmark plant performance against industry standards. - Collaborate with technical experts for process innovation and new product development. Strategic Contribution - Support management in business planning, capacity expansion, and modernization projects. - Provide technical and operational inputs for capital investments. - Represent the plant in corporate reviews, external audits, and stakeholder meetings. Qualifications & Experience - Bachelors / Masters Degree in DIFAT/Chemical Engineering / Mechanical Engineering / Alcohol Technology. - Minimum 20 years of experience in distillery operations, including minimum 5-7 years in a Plant Head / Unit Head role in a grain-based plant (100+ KLD). Candidate should have strong ability to maintain the team. - Strong technical knowledge of fermentation, distillation, DDGS, utilities, and effluent treatment. - Proven track record in handling excise, compliance, and government liaison. - Experience in leading large teams (150300+ workforce).

Safety and Compliance: Develop, implement, and enforce strict safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all staff. Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations related to alcohol production, handling, and storage. Conduct regular safety audits and address any potential hazards. 5. Inventory Management: Oversee the procurement, storage, and inventory management of raw materials, consumables, and finished goods. Ensure accurate inventory records and minimize waste. Work closely with procurement and supply chain teams to optimize material sourcing and costs. . Maintenance and Equipment: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all distillery equipment, ensuring optimal operational efficiency.
