About the Role We are seeking a skilled and proactive Chief Engineer / Maintenance Manager to oversee the entire engineering and maintenance operations of our 4-star hotel in Daman. The ideal candidate will ensure smooth functioning of all hotel facilities, maintain high safety standards, and support our commitment to providing exceptional guest experiences. Key Responsibilities Oversee and manage all aspects of hotel maintenance, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, water systems, and general building upkeep. Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted operations. Supervise, train, and lead the engineering/maintenance team, ensuring productivity and adherence to safety standards. Monitor utility consumption and implement energy-saving initiatives. Coordinate with external vendors, contractors, and government authorities for repair, maintenance, and compliance requirements. Ensure all equipment, systems, and facilities comply with statutory safety, health, and environmental regulations. Respond promptly to guest requests and complaints related to maintenance, ensuring timely resolution. Prepare budgets for engineering operations, track expenses, and maintain cost efficiency. Conduct regular inspections of hotel facilities and prepare reports for management. Support in emergency situations (fire, power outage, water supply breakdown, etc.) with immediate corrective action. Qualifications & Requirements Diploma/Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related field preferred. Minimum 3 years of experience in the hospitality industry. At least 1 year of prior experience as a Chief Engineer / Maintenance Manager in a hotel environment. Strong technical knowledge across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems. Leadership and team management skills with hands-on problem-solving ability. Good communication, planning, and organizational skills.
