The Store In-Charge is responsible for the overall operation and management of the store, ensuring smooth day-to-day activities, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining inventory control, and achieving sales targets. This role requires strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills to manage staff, handle customer issues, oversee stock levels, and ensure store compliance with company policies and procedures. Key Responsibilities: Store Operations Management: Oversee the overall operations of the store, ensuring efficiency in all areas including sales, customer service, inventory, and security. Open and close the store as per operational procedures, ensuring all safety and security measures are followed. Supervise the day-to-day activities of the store team to maintain a clean, organized, and well-stocked environment. Ensure adherence to all operational policies, procedures, and company standards. Staff Management & Leadership: Lead, supervise, and motivate the store team to achieve sales targets and maintain high levels of customer satisfaction. Allocate tasks and responsibilities to store staff as required and provide necessary training and development. Handle performance reviews, employee coaching, and development to ensure team members grow professionally. Address any employee performance issues promptly and provide effective solutions. Customer Service: Ensure excellent customer service is consistently provided by addressing customer inquiries, complaints, and issues in a timely and professional manner. Build strong relationships with regular customers to foster loyalty and repeat business. Ensure that store associates are following customer service standards and engaging positively with customers. Sales and Target Achievement: Monitor and manage sales performance, ensuring that the store meets or exceeds sales targets. Implement promotional and merchandising strategies to maximize sales opportunities. Analyze sales data and provide feedback to the management team to improve store performance. Inventory Control: Maintain optimal stock levels and manage inventory to avoid stockouts or overstock situations. Oversee stock receiving, storage, and organization to ensure inventory accuracy. Perform regular stock audits and work with the management team to resolve any discrepancies. Coordinate with suppliers and the head office to ensure timely replenishment of stock. Visual Merchandising and Store Presentation: Ensure the store is visually appealing, maintaining proper displays and organization to enhance the customer experience. Supervise merchandising and product placements to meet company guidelines and attract customers. Health, Safety, and Compliance: Ensure the store adheres to all local health, safety, and legal regulations. Maintain a safe working environment for both staff and customers, conducting regular safety audits. Ensure compliance with company policies regarding security, loss prevention, and cash handling. Reporting and Administration: Prepare and submit regular reports to the Area Manager or Store Manager regarding sales, stock levels, staff performance, and customer feedback. Assist in preparing budgets and tracking expenses to ensure the store operates within financial guidelines. Handle administrative duties, such as staff scheduling and managing payroll.
