Google Looker Developer

As an experienced Google Looker Developer at Parking Base, you will be a key member of the Software team, contributing to the rapid development of scalable dashboards and data connections for multiple clients. Your responsibilities will include: - Designing, developing, and maintaining Looker dashboards, Looks, and Explores based on business requirements. - Configuring and optimizing Looker-BigQuery connections to ensure efficient data access and performance. - Implementing LookML models, views, and explores to transform raw data into usable business metrics. - Collaborating with stakeholders to gather reporting requirements and translating them into technical solutions. - Troubleshooting and resolving data issues, visualization errors, and performance bottlenecks in dashboards. - Ensuring data governance, security, and access controls are appropriately implemented within Looker. - Optimizing SQL queries used within LookML to enhance dashboard performance. - Automating report generation and scheduling using Looker features for client deliverables. - Staying updated with the latest features in Looker and BigQuery and suggesting improvements. Qualifications required for this role include: - Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience with Google Looker. - Proficiency in LookML and understanding of Looker architecture. - Experience working with Google BigQuery and connecting it with Looker. - Strong SQL skills and understanding of data warehousing concepts. - Ability to build interactive and performance-optimized dashboards. - Good grasp of ETL processes, data pipelines, and BI best practices. - Experience working in agile development teams and managing client expectations. It would be nice to have: - Exposure to data transformation tools like dbt. - Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) services apart from BigQuery. - Knowledge of data security standards and compliance. - Experience handling multi-tenant Looker environments.
