You have a great opportunity to join as a GStreamer - FFMPEG - Codec Developer in Pune. With 2 to 5 years of Audio or Video Experience, you will be responsible for working on open-source multimedia frameworks like GStreamer & FFMPEG. Your role will involve developing, optimizing, and integrating various audio/video codecs such as aac, opus, vorbis, h264, h265, mpeg4, mpeg2, etc., along with Custom build system development. You will also be tasked with customizing, building new plugins for GStreamer and FFMPEG, investigating and integrating third-party libraries, and serving as a guide and domain expert for any multimedia-related work. In this position, you will have the opportunity to investigate and prototype new requirements in Multimedia, communicate directly with clients for their requirements and queries, and conduct interviews. The role requires a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience and proficiency in C, pointers manipulation, multithreading & synchronization, as well as development on Linux. Hands-on experience with the internals of FFMPEG, GStreamer, and VLC, along with a solid understanding of audio/video codecs, is essential. Moreover, you should have good experience with build systems such as Makefile/Cmake/gnu autotools, expertise in debugging tools like gdb, valgrind, and strong algorithmic and problem-solving skills. Experience in assembly programming like sse, mmx, arm, neon would be a plus, as well as an understanding of Linux System-level programming. As a GStreamer - FFMPEG - Codec Developer, you are expected to be a team player with high levels of people skills, excellent verbal/written communication, and interpersonal skills. A sense of urgency and the ability to manage and prioritize multiple work requirements are essential.
