Team Leader Laptop Refurbishment & Production Location : Juinagar, Navi Mumbai Reports To : Operations Manager / Production Manager The Team Leader oversees refurbishment operations in a highvolume laptop repair and refurbishment environment. Youll lead the production line and technician team, handle full assembly/disassembly workflows, troubleshoot technical faults, and ensure timely output while maintaining quality and efficiency targets. Job Responsibilities Supervise full laptop assembly/disassembly workflows for various models (Dell, HP, Lenovo, Apple, etc.). Lead fault diagnosis and fault-findingcomponent-level troubleshooting (motherboard, RAM, SSD, keyboard, battery, screens). Supervise replacement, repair, and testing of hardware components; thermal paste application; BIOS configuration and component upgrades. Plan and manage daily production schedules to meet unit throughput targets. Assign tasks and balance workloads across team members and workstation cells. Monitor line performanceyield, turnaround time, rework, defect rates; implement corrective actions. Identify bottlenecks and opportunities for process optimization, waste reduction, and continuous improvement. Supervise, motivate, and mentor a team of technicians across shift cycles. Support technician (e.g. repair techniques, component-level troubleshooting, SOP compliance). Conduct performance reviews, onetoone coaching, and coordinate manpower planning. Supervise inventory of spare parts, tools, and consumables; ensure stock levels match production demands. Coordinate with inventory and incoming goods-in teams to track component flow and avoid line stoppages. Collaborate with QA to monitor defect or rework rates and uphold quality standards. Enforce safety, ESD, and environmental compliance throughout operations. Support audits and maintain asset traceability records. Generate daily/weekly/monthly KPI reports covering production metrics, fault rates, and resource usage. Provide updates to senior management and cross-functional teams. Preferred candidate profile Education : Diploma or Degree in Electronics, IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field. Experience : 5 to 9+ years in laptop or IT hardware refurbishment/repair environments. Demonstrable experience in managing technicians and production operations with high-volume throughput (e.g. 15K+ units/month). Hands-on skills in assembly, disassembly, diagnostics, and part-level repair. Technical Skills : Expertise in diagnosing laptop hardware faults, using diagnostic software/tools, replacing components, testing and imaging OS. Familiarity with ERP or inventory systems, data wiping tools, and asset tracking processes. Leadership & Soft Skills : Strong communication, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
