GMB Optimization Specialist

As a Google My Business (GMB) Optimization Specialist, you will play a crucial role in enhancing our local online presence and increasing visibility in local search results. Your responsibilities will include setting up, optimizing, and maintaining Google Business Profiles (GBPs) across multiple locations (if applicable), with a focus on accuracy, engagement, and achieving top local rankings. Key Responsibilities: - Setting up and verifying new Google Business Profiles (GBPs). - Optimizing listings for SEO and user engagement by refining business categories, services, attributes, descriptions, photos, and more. - Implementing keyword strategies in business descriptions and posts. - Managing and responding to customer reviews professionally and promptly. - Creating and scheduling regular GMB posts to drive traffic and engagement. - Ensuring Name, Address, Phone Number (NAP) consistency across all platforms. - Monitoring insights and performance analytics to identify trends and make data-driven optimizations. - Conducting competitor analysis to identify opportunities for visibility improvements. - Addressing suspensions or reinstatement issues with Google Support, if necessary. - Collaborating with SEO/marketing teams for integrated local SEO strategies. Requirements: - Proven experience in GMB/GBP optimization and local SEO. - Familiarity with Google Search Console and Google Analytics. - Strong written communication and customer service skills. - Basic understanding of local citation building and schema markup is a plus. - Ability to efficiently manage multiple listings and deadlines. - Knowledge of tools like BrightLocal, Whitespark, or GMB Everywhere is a plus. Preferred Qualifications: - 1-3 years of experience in local SEO or digital marketing. - Certification in SEO or digital marketing (Google Digital Garage, SEMrush, etc.). - Agency experience managing multi-location or franchise GMB listings is a plus.
