About the RoleWe're seeking a talented Video Editor to create viral, engaging video content for AstroNidan. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of social media trends and the ability to transform raw footage into captivating content that hooks viewers from the first second. Key Responsibilities Edit short-form and long-form videos optimized for virality across platforms (YouTube, Instagram Reels, TikTok, etc.) Create compelling hooks within the first 3 seconds to maximize viewer retention Add dynamic text captions, subtitles, and kinetic typography Incorporate smooth transitions, motion graphics, and animations Enhance videos with sound effects, background music, and audio mixing Apply color grading and visual effects to improve video quality Analyze trending content and implement successful editing patterns Ensure fast-paced editing that maintains viewer engagement throughout Required SkillsProficiency in video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Final Cut Pro, or DaVinci Resolve) Strong understanding of viral video mechanics and social media algorithms Expertise in creating attention-grabbing hooks and maintaining viewer retention Ability to add engaging animations, motion graphics, and visual effects Experience with text animations, captions, and subtitle styling Knowledge of aspect ratios and specifications for different social platforms Understanding of pacing, rhythm, and storytelling through editing Preferred Qualifications Portfolio demonstrating viral or high-engagement video content Experience with AI editing tools and plugins Knowledge of current social media trends and viral formats Basic understanding of SEO and video optimization Ability to work with tight deadlines and quick turnarounds What We're Looking ForSomeone who understands that the first 3 seconds make or break a video, knows how to keep viewers watching until the end, and stays updated with the latest editing trends and viral formats.
