sourcing / purchase manager - pharma - Purchase & Procurement Job description 1. Maintain a database of Suppliers, Manufactures and Purchase/Procurement related misc. documents/ready reckoner data. 2. Work with Suppliers, manufactures and internal departments. 3. Should have knowledge of pharmaceutical products to handle all activities of sourcing & procurement of generic pharma bulk drugs and added advantage if knowledge of Finished formulations i.e. Tablet, Capsules, Injectables, topicals etc. (all dosage forms) as per the need of the company for domestic and export market. 4. To manage end to end procurement process in terms of understanding requirements, finding suppliers, negotiations and ensuring supplies are received bringing value to the organization in terms of cost, quality and time. 5. Send the enquiries to manufacturers and seek competitive commercial offer and prepare comparison report and analysis as per terms and conditions in speedy manner. 6. New vendor development & Should work with the existing vendors and manage relationship/contracts. 7. Should aim to achieve cost reduction while maintaining or improving the quality of supplies and services. Negotiating with the vendors for competitive prices without compromising on the quality of the product. 8. Negotiation with suppliers for cost effective procurement of materials. Required Candidate profile 1. Should be Self-driven, good negotiator, Street-smart, Team player, Out-of-the-box-thinker, Open to unlearn/relearn. 2. A candidate shall have good knowledge of Excel/spreadsheet etc. 3. Should have effective communication and Comprehension skill. 4. Should be able to take up the responsibility and experience of managing other functions of Pharma Purchase/ Procurement Department. 5. Candidate Must be with min 2-4 yrs of experience in Purchase/Procurement functions in the pharma sector would be an added advantage.
