About the job: Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and develop the AC electrical layout of utility-scale solar PV systems, including: a. Inverter output cabling and termination b. MV switchgear, transformers (11kV/22kV/33kV/132kV), and protection schemes c. Substation (switchyard) design d. Earthing and lightning protection systems 2. Prepare SLDs (Single Line Diagrams), interconnection drawings, cable schedules, and equipment layout plans 3. Size and specify AC cables, transformers, switchgear, relays, and protection devices per IEC/IS/NEC standards 4. Coordinate with civil, structural, and control system teams to integrate AC components 5. Perform load flow, fault level, and protection coordination studies using software like ETAP or PowerFactory 6. Interface with utility/distribution companies to ensure grid compliance and review grid codes 7. Support in procurement by evaluating technical offers and vendor documents 8. Participate in site visits, commissioning, and resolution of technical issues on the AC side 9. Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering 2. 2+ years of relevant experience in solar/power system engineering 3. Proven expertise in AC system design of solar power plants of Utility scale(MW) 4. Strong understanding of IEC, IS, and relevant utility/grid codes 5. Proficiency in AutoCAD, ETAP, PowerFactory, or similar tools 6. Experience with medium voltage and protection system design 7. Knowledge of SCADA, communication protocols, and grid interfacing is desirable 8. Familiarity with PVsyst, Helioscope, or plant simulation tools (AC-side modeling) 9. Experience in substation design (AIS/GIS) and transmission interconnections 10. Exposure to energy storage integration (BESS) is a plus 11.
