Job Title: Office Staff – Glass Industry (with Glass Optimization Responsibilities)

Job Summary

The Office Staff will handle administrative duties along with supporting glass order processing, optimization, and coordination between sales and production. This role requires basic office skills plus familiarity with glass sizes, cutting, and optimization software/tools used in glass fabrication.

Key Responsibilities Administrative / Office Tasks

Handle daily clerical activities, phone calls, emails, and customer inquiries.

Maintain filing systems, job records, and documentation.

Prepare invoices, quotations, and delivery challans.

Manage office supplies, purchase coordination, and general office operations.

Glass Industry–Specific Tasks

Receive glass orders and enter details accurately into the system.

Prepare cutting lists based on customer sizes/specifications.

Use glass optimization software (like Smart Cut, OptiGlass, or company-specific tools) to:

Optimize cutting layouts

Reduce wastage

Improve yield

Generate cutting diagrams for production

Coordinate with the production team for job scheduling and material requirements.

Track job status: cutting → processing → dispatch.

Maintain inventory of glass sheets, processed stock, and wastage records.

Assist in quality checks for size accuracy and order completion.

Coordination & Reporting

Communicate with customers regarding timelines, job updates, and delivery information.

Prepare daily/weekly reports on production, wastage, and stock.

Support accounts team with basic billing and payment follow-up.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Minimum: 12th pass | Preferred: BCom / BA / Diploma.

Basic computer proficiency (Excel, email, MS Office).

Knowledge of glass types (clear, frosted, toughened, laminated, etc.) is a plus.

Ability to understand glass sizes, thicknesses, and cutting tolerances.

Attention to detail and accuracy in measurement-based work.

Good communication & coordination skills.

Preferred Skills

Experience in a glass shop / fabrication unit / toughened glass plant.

Knowledge of glass optimization software or willingness to learn.

Experience with billing tools like Tally, ERP, or POS systems.

Work Environment

Full-time | On-site (factory, warehouse, or office)
