Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented GitHub Administrator with 46 years of experience to manage and optimize our GitHub Enterprise environment. You will be responsible for ensuring secure, compliant, and efficient source code management across engineering teams. This role is pivotal in enabling seamless CI/CD pipelines, managing user access, enforcing repository policies, and collaborating with developers, DevOps, and security teams. Key Responsibilities: Administer and maintain GitHub Enterprise (Cloud and/or Server) for Rubriks engineering teams. Manage repository structure, permissions, branch protection rules, and access controls. Create, enforce, and audit GitHub organization and repository-level policies, including DLP and security rules. Integrate GitHub with internal tools such as CI/CD platforms (e.g., Jenkins, CircleCI, GitHub Actions), SSO/IDPs (Okta, Azure AD), and ticketing systems. Monitor activity logs, audit trails, and set up alerts for anomalous behavior or policy violations. Collaborate with Security, DevOps, and Compliance teams to implement secure development practices. Onboard and support developers with GitHub usage, access requests, and workflow issues. Develop and maintain internal documentation, GitHub usage guidelines, and best practices. Automate GitHub administration tasks using GitHub APIs, CLI, or scripting languages (e.g., Python, Shell). Stay current on GitHub Enterprise updates, security patches, and new features. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience). 4–6 years of professional experience administering GitHub Enterprise in a mid-to-large-scale organization. Strong understanding of Git version control and GitHub features (Actions, Codespaces, Security policies). Experience managing access via SSO/SCIM provisioning and integration with enterprise identity providers. Proficiency in scripting or automation using GitHub CLI, REST APIs, GraphQL, or PowerShell/Python. Knowledge of compliance standards (SOC 2, ISO 27001) and secure coding practices. Familiarity with CI/CD tools and DevOps workflows. Excellent problem-solving, documentation, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: GitHub Certified Administrator (preferred but not required). Experience with GitHub Advanced Security (GHAS), Dependabot, CodeQL, and secret scanning. Exposure to Kubernetes, Docker, or other containerization tools is a plus. Experience working in cloud-native environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
