Job Title

Role Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Create, manage, and update enterprise geodatabases including vector, raster, and attribute datasets.
• Work with satellite imagery, base maps, topo sheets, DEM/terrain datasets, and land-use/land-cover layers.
• Perform geo-tagging, GPS/field data integration, and maintain spatial accuracy through validation and QA/QC processes.
• Ensure proper metadata creation, versioning, and structured GIS data workflows.

Mapping & Spatial Analysis

• Prepare detailed maps, thematic layers, and geospatial visualizations using ArcGIS Pro.
• Perform advanced spatial analyses such as:
• Buffering, overlay, proximity analysis
• Area/volume calculations
• Change detection and temporal analysis
• Hotspot and pattern analysis
• Generate high-quality map layouts, reports, and visual outputs for analytical and presentation needs.

ArcGIS Enterprise / Web GIS

• Publish and manage map services, feature services, image services on ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal.
• Design and configure web maps, dashboards, and web applications using enterprise GIS tools.
• Manage access permissions, service performance, and integration with other modules or applications.
• Support the development of GIS-based workflows and automation scripts.

Field Coordination & Data Integration

• Coordinate with technical teams for spatial data updates, field validations, and data corrections.
• Integrate GPS/GNSS data, mobile GIS inputs, and field-collected spatial information.
• Assist with training, troubleshooting, and user support on GIS tools and applications.

Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare spatial reports, dashboards, and analytical summaries using geospatial tools.
• Maintain documentation for data schema, workflows, metadata standards, and GIS processes.
• Ensure compliance with data quality, security, and enterprise GIS best practices.

Required Skills & Experience

• 3 - 5 years of hands-on experience with ArcGIS Pro (editing, geoprocessing, analysis tools).
• Strong knowledge of ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal, service publishing, web maps, and feature services.
• Deep understanding of spatial data formats, projections, topology, metadata, and geodatabase design.
• Experience working with raster datasets, satellite imagery, DEM/terrain data, and large geospatial datasets.
• Solid experience with data validation, QA/QC, and spatial data accuracy checks.
• Prior experience supporting GIS workflows in enterprise or government project environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Master's/Bachelor's in Geoinformatics, Geography, Environmental Science, Remote Sensing, Civil/Geo Engineering, or related fields.
• Experience with mobile GIS & field data tools (Survey123, Field Maps, Collector).
• Understanding of GIS data security, compliance, and enterprise deployment standards.
• Exposure to integrating GIS with dashboards or analytics platforms.
