Preferred Job Description: We are seeking a highly motivated Planning Engineer to join our team for project planning, monitoring, and reporting using MS Project (MSP) software. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in scheduling, progress tracking, delay analysis, and resource planning in infrastructure or construction projects. Role & responsibilities : Develop and maintain baseline project schedules for various projects using MSP. Update project schedules regularly based on inputs from the site team. Conduct comparative analysis of planned vs. actual progress , identify deviations, and prepare periodic reports for clients. Prepare 3-month look-ahead schedules and update them as needed for the site/section in charge. Generate S-curves, resource histograms, activity and resource usage reports, cash flow reports , and baseline Gantt charts. Identify potential delays in achieving key project milestones and raise early warning alerts . Conduct delay analysis using methods like Time Impact Analysis and Window Analysis. Revise baseline or recovery schedules based on stakeholder feedback or internal reviews. Prepare monthly progress reports , and assist in strategic planning for timely project completion. Plan and monitor site activities, resource allocation, and utilization through MSP. Preferred candidate profile: BE / B.Tech in Civil Engineering is a must. NICMAR certification preferred. 3 to 5 years of relevant experience in Infrastructure, project planning and scheduling. Prior working experience with Indian Railways or Metro projects is highly preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Project (MSP) is mandatory. Strong analytical and communication skills.
