As a Structure Design Engineer at Arup, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects with a collaborative team of experts in the building services field. Your role will involve being a part of multi-disciplinary project teams, supervising junior engineers and CAD staff, and ensuring the timely delivery of high-quality engineering designs within cost constraints. You will play a key role in producing calculations, drawings, tender documents, feasibility studies, and condition reports for building services projects. Working under the technical management of the Project Manager or Director, you will have a high degree of autonomy in delivering project objectives and performance. Additionally, you will mentor graduate engineers, manage technicians, and collaborate with other building services engineers at Arup. Your responsibilities will include participating in multi-disciplinary project teams, preparing accurate designs and drawings based on input data, and developing innovative designs using Indian and International codes. You will also work closely with technicians on CAD and REVIT drawings. Furthermore, you will keep senior staff informed of important design decisions, represent Arup at client meetings, and provide guidance to entry-level engineers. Your role may also involve site checking and inspection based on design drawings and calculations. To be considered for this role, you should have a relevant qualification in Structural Engineering and be on track for professional chartership with a minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience. Proficiency in structural design software such as ETABS, SAFE, STAAD, RCDC, as well as CAD and REVIT software, is preferred. Knowledge of computational programming in Excel, VBA, and basic understanding of Rhino and GH is beneficial. Strong design ability, engineering skills, and a desire to develop new designs and technologies are essential qualities for this position.
