The Medtronic CRM Application Development team is responsible for developing the next generation of medical technologies that save lives and improve the quality of living for millions of patients globally. As a part of the CRM Software team, you will work with cutting-edge technologies in various software domains including application software, network software, mobile software, BT/BLE communication software, and interfacing with embedded software for the management and control of implantable medical devices. We are currently seeking a proactive, self-starting, and experienced software development engineer to contribute to building the next generation of CRM software. **Responsibilities:** - Develop and implement a comprehensive test strategy, plans, and procedures for product development, production, and integration. - Provide hands-on leadership, coaching, mentoring, and share software engineering best practices with junior software engineers. - Collaborate with team members and product owners to ensure products are designed for testability and optimized for cost-effectiveness. - Design and execute tests using automated test tools and manual test development processes to verify software requirements. - Work in an Agile environment as part of a scrum team, consulting with scrum masters, product owners, and developers. - Assist the scrum team in debugging and resolving issues discovered during testing. - Work with individuals from various engineering disciplines in different locations to support test infrastructure setup and test tool development. - Establish and maintain traceability from software requirements to verification test design and implementation. - Participate in technical reviews of software requirements and peer verification test development. - Prepare and maintain detailed test documentation, including test plans, procedures, and reports. - Test the functionality and performance of software applications for Mobile, Web, and iOS development. - Recommend quality improvements based on workflow analysis and test results. - Collaborate with development to resolve software defects and improve product configuration. - Ensure the quality of complex enterprise applications and entire software ecosystems. **Requirements:** - Strong knowledge of software design, development, debugging, and testing practices. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills. - Experience with configuration management tools. - Proficiency in programming languages such as C, C++, Java, JavaScript, HTML, VBScript, C#, .NET, Perl, Python, Objective C, Gerkin. - Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall software development methods. - Experience with REST Server and REST interfaces. - Proficiency in optimizing code quality through continuous integration, static code analysis, security vulnerability testing, and unit test coverage. - Familiarity with DevOps principles and streamlining the build and deploy process. - Proficiency in developing within the Windows operating system and Visual Studio IDE. - Strong organizational skills and ability to work in cross-functional project teams. - Knowledge of AI testing tools and experience working with regulated medical devices. - Strong problem-solving skills and a quality-focused mindset. **Physical Job Requirements:** The above description outlines the general nature of the work being performed and is not an exhaustive list of all responsibilities and skills required for the position. **Benefits & Compensation:** Medtronic offers a competitive salary and a flexible benefits package to support employees at every career and life stage.
