Registered Dietitian (RD) with a primary focus on client counseling and dietary education: Job Title: Registered Dietitian (RD) – Client Counseling & Nutrition Education Location: HITECH CITY Job Type: Full-time Reports To: Nutrition Director Salary Range: 20,000-25,000 Job Summary: We are seeking a compassionate, knowledgeable, and client-focused Registered Dietitian (RD) to join our team. The primary responsibility of this role is to provide one-on-one and group counseling to clients and educate them on evidence-based nutrition principles. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills, a strong understanding of medical nutrition therapy (MNT), and a passion for promoting health and well-being through diet and lifestyle changes. Key Responsibilities and Job Description: Client Counseling (60%) Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments of clients based on medical history, lifestyle, dietary habits, and lab values. Develop personalized nutrition care plans tailored to clients’ specific health needs and goals (e.g., weight management, diabetes, cardiovascular health, GI disorders, etc.). Provide ongoing nutrition counseling and support through in-person or virtual follow-up sessions. Monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting care plans as needed to optimize outcomes. Use motivational interviewing and behavioral counseling techniques to facilitate behavior change. Nutrition Education (30%) Educate clients on general and condition-specific nutrition topics (e.g., reading food labels, portion control, balanced meal planning). Develop and deliver educational materials, resources, and presentations for individuals and groups. Conduct workshops, seminars, or webinars on various nutrition-related topics as part of wellness programs or community outreach. Stay current with emerging research and trends in nutrition to provide clients with up-to-date information. Administrative & Collaborative Duties (10%) Maintain accurate and thorough documentation in compliance with HIPAA and organizational standards. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals (physicians, therapists, fitness coaches, etc.) to provide integrated care. Participate in team meetings and case conferences as needed. Assist in developing and updating clinic protocols, educational content, and program materials. Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Nutrition, Dietetics, or a related field (Master’s preferred). Must be a Registered Dietitian (RD) credentialed by the INDIAN DIETETICS ASSOCIATION (IDA). Licensure/certification in the state of practice Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in nutritional counseling or a clinical setting preferred. Strong knowledge of MNT and public health nutrition. Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills. Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) and basic office software. Preferred Skills:Bilingual (ENGLISH, TELUGU). Experience in specific client populations (e.g., pediatrics, geriatrics, sports nutrition, eating disorders). Familiarity with behavior change models (e.g., Stages of Change, Health Belief Model). Work Environment: May work in clinical settings, wellness centre Reports directly to the Management Some weekend or evening hours may be required to accommodate clients’ schedules. Occasional travel for community events or continuing education.
