Geotechnical Design Engineer

Role:

The Geotechnical Design Engineer will be responsible for planning, analyzing, and designing geotechnical solutions for highway, metro, and infrastructure projects. The role involves preparing and reviewing geotechnical investigation plans, interpreting soil and rock test data, and developing safe and cost-effective foundation designs in accordance with relevant IS and IRC codes. The incumbent will also coordinate with clients, consultants, and site teams, ensure design quality and compliance, and provide technical support during project execution and bidding stages.

Responsibilities:

• Handle

  geotechnical design activities

  for highway and metro projects.
• Prepare

  borehole investigation schemes

  and related

  enquiry documents

  such as borehole plans, BOQs, etc.
• Review and analyze reports of

  geotechnical investigations

  , including

  pile load tests, plate load tests, and related assessments

  .
• Design

  foundations (open and pile)

  in accordance with relevant

  IS and IRC codes

  for both soil and rock conditions.
• Perform

  slope stability analyses

  and evaluate suitable mitigation measures.
• Carry out

  design and analysis for pre-bid projects

  .
• Review and analyze results of

  Pile Integrity Tests (PIT)

  ,

  Pile Dynamic Analysis (PDA)

  , and

  Cross-Hole Sonic Logging (CHSL)

  .
• Apply various

  ground improvement techniques

  and perform related design and analysis.
• Coordinate with

  clients and vendors

  for obtaining design approvals, clarifications, and revisions.
• Conduct

  site visits

  as and when required to assess ground conditions or support investigations.
• Manage and deliver

  multiple projects simultaneously

  within timelines and quality parameters.

Preferred candidate profile:

B Tech - Civil Engineering with M Tech in Geotech Engineering having experience of 3-6 years in Geotechnical Design & Analysis of Infrastructural Projects mainly Highways & Metros.
