Your role will require you to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and compliance with relevant standards and stay updated with advancements in GIS, remote sensing, and geospatial technologies. To qualify for this role, you should possess a Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Engineering, Computer Science, Geography, or a related field, along with at least 3 years of professional experience in geospatial data engineering, GIS development, or a similar field. Strong proficiency with GIS software and libraries, experience with Python and/or JavaScript for geospatial processing and visualization, familiarity with spatial databases and data formats, and strong problem-solving and analytical skills are essential qualifications. Preferred qualifications include experience with Ruby on Rails or geospatial Ruby libraries, modern mapping libraries and platforms, remote sensing, LiDAR, or satellite image processing, machine learning applications for geospatial datasets, and cloud-based experience with geospatial services.
