Position Overview : The Shift Incharge will play a key role in managing and optimizing the operational processes within the beneficiation plant. This position involves overseeing production activities, troubleshooting process issues, implementing efficiency improvements, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Senior Engineer will work closely with the plant management team to drive operational excellence and achieve production targets. Key Responsibilities : 1. Oversee day-to-day operations of the beneficiation plant, including ore handling, crushing, blending, flotation, and dewatering processes. 2. Monitor plant performance, analyze production data, and identify opportunities to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and increase throughput. 3. Lead troubleshooting efforts to address process deviations, equipment failures, and quality issues, collaborating with maintenance, engineering, and production teams to implement timely solutions. 4. Develop and implement operational procedures, standard operating practices (SOPs), and best practices to ensure consistent and reliable plant operation. 5. Conduct process audits, root cause analyses, and performance evaluations to identify areas for optimization and implement corrective actions. 6. Provide technical guidance and support to plant personnel, including operators, technicians, and supervisors, to enhance their skills and knowledge of plant operations. 7. Coordinate with the maintenance department to schedule preventive maintenance activities, shutdowns, and equipment upgrades to minimize downtime and maintain equipment reliability. 8. Collaborate with the quality control team to ensure product specifications are met, and quality standards are maintained throughout the production process. 9. Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, including lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and Kaizen projects, to enhance plant efficiency and effectiveness. 10. Ensure compliance with safety regulations, environmental standards, and company policies, promoting a culture of safety and environmental stewardship among plant personnel. Qualifications : Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Metallurgy, Mining Engineering, or related field; advanced degree preferred. Extensive experience in mineral processing operations, with a focus on plant operations and process optimization. Strong technical knowledge of beneficiation processes, equipment, and metallurgical principles. Proven track record of troubleshooting complex process issues and implementing solutions to improve plant performance. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills. Leadership abilities with experience in mentoring and coaching junior engineers and plant personnel. Effective communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Familiarity with regulatory requirements, safety standards, and quality management systems relevant to mineral processing operations. Proficiency in computer applications, data analysis tools, and plant control systems.
