Job Title: Design Engineer Location: Vanagaram, Chennai Work Mode: On-site (Work from Office) Roles & Responsibilities FTTx Network Design – Plan and design Fiber-to-the-X (FTTx) networks, covering both aerial and underground deployments. Pole Loading Analysis (PLA) – Perform structural analysis of poles using industry-standard tools to determine feasibility for new attachments. Make-Ready Engineering (MRE) – Apply MRE standards to ensure compliance with safety and utility regulations. Network Documentation – Develop fiber layouts, splice plans, schematics, and Bills of Materials (BOMs) using GIS and CAD applications. Construction & Permit Drawings – Prepare detailed drawings and documentation in line with local, state, and federal requirements. Route Optimization – Analyze and optimize network routes for cost-effectiveness, accessibility, and scalability . Qualification & Eligibility Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil / Electrical / Electronics / Telecommunications / Computer Science / related field . Diploma holders with strong relevant experience may also apply. Experience: 2–5 years of experience in FTTx design, Pole Loading Analysis, and Make-Ready Engineering (MRE) . Hands-on experience with O-Calc Pro, SPIDAcalc, Katapult, GIS, and AutoCAD . Preferred Skills: Strong knowledge of fiber network architecture (aerial & underground). Ability to prepare detailed construction drawings and BOMs. Good understanding of regulatory standards, safety compliance, and permitting . Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills. Excellent teamwork and communication abilities.
