Role Overview: 5day.io is a modern work management tool designed for project management, timesheet management, collaboration, and task management to enhance work efficiency and effectiveness. As an SDE II for an AI/ML Engineer specializing in Generative AI and Agentic AI, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing agentic systems and generative models as a key member of the AI team. Your collaboration with senior engineers and product managers will translate innovative ideas into functional, production-ready features, contributing directly to the core technology of the product. Key Responsibilities: - Build and integrate Generative AI and Agentic AI features into SaaS platforms. - Develop LLM-powered workflows, including RAG pipelines with vector databases. - Experiment with AI agents for task orchestration, automation, and decision-making. - Translate business use cases into AI-first product features with senior engineers and product managers. - Optimize AI pipelines for scalability, performance, and cost-efficiency. - Contribute to best practices, documentation, and continuous learning within the AI team. Qualifications Required: - 3+ years of software engineering experience, with a minimum of 2-3 years in GenAI/Agentic AI. - Practical experience with Generative AI, including foundational models like GPT, Llama, or Gemini. - Hands-on experience with GenAI/LLM frameworks: LangChain, LlamaIndex, Semantic Kernel, Haystack, CrewAI, AutoGen. - Strong proficiency in Python and its AI ecosystem (PyTorch, TensorFlow, scikit-learn, Hugging Face). - Experience deploying AI models in a cloud environment (AWS, GCP, or Azure) with API development knowledge. - Familiarity with SaaS engineering practices: microservices, APIs, CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes. - Proficient in core software engineering principles, including version control (Git). - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. - Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities. - Experience with Agile development methodologies. - Effective prioritization and multitasking skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
