GCP Data Architect

As a GCP Data Architect with 10-12 years of experience, your role will involve designing and implementing high-performance, reliable, and scalable transactional database architectures. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data consistency, integrity, and availability while optimizing database designs and recommending best practices and technology stacks. Your responsibilities will include overseeing the management of entire transactional databases, including modernization and de-duplication initiatives. Additionally, you will be responsible for designing and implementing data lakes that consolidate data from disparate sources into a unified, scalable storage solution. This will involve architecting and deploying cloud-based or on-premises data lake infrastructure and ensuring self-service capabilities across the data engineering space for the business. Collaboration with Data Engineers, Product Owners, and Business teams will be essential in this role. You will also play a key role in data integration and governance by understanding ingestion and orchestration strategies, implementing data sharing and data exchange, and assessing data sensitivity and criticality to recommend appropriate designs. A basic understanding of data governance practices is required. Innovation will be a core aspect of your role, as you will be tasked with evaluating and implementing new technologies, tools, and frameworks to improve data accessibility, performance, and scalability. Staying up to date with industry trends and best practices will be crucial to continuously innovate and enhance the data architecture strategy.
